Our company history begins with the founding of a start-up above a fast-food chain restau­rant in Rosen­heim, Upper Bavaria. That may sound trivial today. Back then, it was a bold move – in a city not exactly known as the hub of the tech world, and at a time long before the term “start-up” became a part of every­day language. Three decades later, our headquar­ters are located in Nußdorf am Inn, and a small team has turned into more than 70 employees. Our sustai­ned success is based on attri­bu­tes which we realise with a passion: Flexi­bi­lity, agility, and flat hierar­chies as drivers of innova­tion.

Our managing direc­tors

Björn Röttger

Björn Röttger has been part of Formware since 2003, and is respon­si­ble for product develo­p­ment as well as project manage­ment. He firmly belie­ves that an open corpo­rate culture, trust­worthy coope­ra­tion and agile working methods are funda­men­tal to sustainable company success. He finds balance in hiking and skiing in the mountains.

Peter Schin­de­cker

Peter Schin­de­cker has been with us from the begin­ning. Since 2000, he has been a member of the execu­tive board and respon­si­ble for opera­tion of the compu­ting centre as well as IT security. As vice-chair­man of Stell­werk 18, a digital business incuba­tor in Rosen­heim, he is excel­lently networ­ked and maintains close conta­cts with various univer­si­ties in Germany and Austria.

 

Thomas Stampf

Thomas Stampf has been part of the execu­tive board since 2009, and is respon­si­ble for sales in this role. For him, integrity and trust­worthy relati­ons­hips with custo­mers and partners form the core of success­ful dealings. Based on these princi­ples, he and his sales team maintain our custo­mer network. For leisure, he gets on to his racing cycle or skis.

When not manning the grill for us, Maximi­lian supports our custo­mers in making layouts and helps with the further develo­p­ment of our chatbot. Max success­fully comple­ted his training as an office manage­ment clerk with us, but found out here that he is really a techni­cian at heart. His new job in the document produc­tion team there­fore suits him all the better: “The work is very interes­ting and the working environ­ment is great. As a career changer, I was immedia­tely and fully entrus­ted, which pleased me very much.” We are happy to have Max with us, and to have found the right place of work for him.

Matthias is always fully occup­ied. As head of product manage­ment, he plans the (further) develo­p­ment of our products, organi­zes the corre­spon­ding scrum teams, and inter­venes if a hitch occurs. He is rarely to be encoun­te­red in his office. He moves around a lot on the premi­ses, and holds discus­sions with colleagues or parti­ci­pa­tes in meetings. He does everything with great precision and focus. No wonder – in his spare time he is an active marks­man.

Simon has a knack for design. With Adobe After Effects, Photo­shop and Illus­tra­tor, he conju­res up videos, posters, infogra­phics and more. He started at Formware in an appren­ti­ce­ship as an office manage­ment clerk. However, he found his home in marke­ting and is there­fore also taking corre­spon­dence courses as a graphic designer. In addition, he loves to film and photo­graph, and very many of the contri­bu­ti­ons on this page are his!

As a project manager, Chris­tina takes care of custo­mers as well as inter­nal projects. For example, she is currently planning a new database system for the Formware compu­ting centre. On both sides, she modera­tes the interests of all those invol­ved, with the aim of recon­ci­ling as many as possi­ble. Chris­tina works part-time and parti­cu­larly appre­cia­tes the high flexi­bi­lity she has. This is because she also has to recon­cile her job with the care of her two-year-old son. “I feel well here, and the work-life balance is right”, she says.

Axel designs layouts of invoices, remin­ders and mailings for our custo­mers. In parti­cu­lar, however, he ensures that the varia­ble fields in his layouts are filled with the correct data. This is not always easy, because the data often comes from huge XML files which need to be prepa­red with scripts and sorted. At times requi­ring special concen­tra­tion here, Axel likes to listen to classi­cal music most of all.

After her training as a media designer, Chris­tina added on a degree in business infor­ma­tics. As a working student with regular employ­ment at Formware now, she develops cool functions and designs for the front-ends of our apps.

“I was assigned a lot of respon­si­bi­lity here from the begin­ning, that was really good,” she says. This was also good for our apps, because the design of the new user inter­faces is really impres­sive!

Just looking for a job as a working student over 20 years ago, Chris­tian is today Formware’s longest-serving develo­per. C++ and C# are his domain, in which he programs our layout software for the Windows environ­ment. He is also a big fan of agile develo­p­ment methods and an indis­pensable parti­ci­pant in nearly all #SCRUM sprints in the house. What does he like most about Formware? The pleasant working environ­ment and the beauti­ful location in Inntal!
